Reflection

The white tiles watch in agony

as my tears mirror the glass.

The air now suffocated with my screams, 

taps running wild and free

and the door insulates my hushes pleas!

Long nights of disappointments and

crying nights of pain and hurt.

Unvoiced nights of escapism and

grieving nights of loss and betrayal.

My go-to place - the know-it-all.

I glance back and It reveals

a vulnerable, hurt and lost being. 

I breathe in and let it out -

the doubts, the insecurity and the pain. 

Slow, measured calm

spreads across the canvas

and I pluck around what's left,

the wits and my strength.

Wiping it clean, 

I give me a last look.

Risen, renewed, revived - 

the phoenix flies again.
