Thousands of dreams were shattered in holy land,
Droplets of blood were scattered in this divine sand.

All the sacred hearts were beating for a single name,
Apart from country, their pain didn't want any fame.

One fine day, glorified sun ray touched their soul,
Definition of freedom puts them into a bigger role.

The distant vision provided the pathway to liberation,
Our generation struggled due to lack of collaboration.

Unity, peace and humanity are now hidden in dictionary,
We all are busy in our own world of artificial fictionary.

Every year we are celebrating the day with a big note,
Physically we might be free but mentally we are still in drought.
