Incomplete Motherhood

The moment I heard you were in,

I felt blessed and had joy within 

Even though you were inside my womb,

You filled the heart with blissful warmth

I was preparing myself and the curiosity was high,

I imagined daily the moment of listening to your cry

Things were going smoothly and life looked beautiful

Soon a message brought tears and made me too emotional

That difficult situation forced me to control my emotions

It was about stopping your life due to some rare condition

Fear of the future surpassed my love,

Guilt and pain caused me to lose my life's purpose

Your life came to end, even mine too,

Only my breaths remain, but I am not alive.
