In A Rainy Night

It was raining outside heavily,

But still I was getting wet inside in grief,

I heard some drop of sounds

And peeped outside my window,

I saw rain (Shrabanee) was crying alone,

on my lonely yard.

I asked, “What makes you cry?”

She replied with a moist voice,

Monsoon (Lover) has betrayed her.

But how can I explain to her,

that  I was also broken inside,

from the day, my beloved “Shrabanee”(rain)

has betrayed me, in such a rainy night!
