Imperfect She

She is not perfect,

She is neither a fairy tale princess nor a woman of dreams.

She is not fair as Snow White,

Her hair is not like Rapunzel,

She can’t sing like a nightingale, 

She can't dance like a mermaid, 

She is not Prince Charming's Cinderella.

Her face with blemishes don’t shine like the moon,

Her dark complexion doesn't make her the Black Beauty.

But if you have the eyes to see,

You will see her heart made of pure gold 

That can love unconditionally,

That shed tears at the sorrow of others and rejoice other’s success.

That makes her a perfect human being.
