I Will Rise Again
I Will Rise Again
I'll rise from the ash like a phoenix,
When you've burnt me in your prejudices.
I'll still be born with flesh and blood,
When you've buried me deep under the unformidable tomb.
I shall no longer possess the false pride,
Once you've labelled beneath my skin.
I shall fly free in my heavens high,
When you've cast your nets to trap me around.
I'll ride from the bottom of the ocean of truth,
When you've drowned me deeper under the sands of lies.
I'll wake from the dreary dreams of suspicions,
When you've disguised under my virtues your noble vices.
I shall no longer wear the veil of lies,
When you hold the mirror of truth against my door.
I'll prove my strengths during strife and storm,
When you still have plans to detain me in your cage.
I shall beg no mercy for my bleeding breaths,
When you've thorny roses to adorn my coffin.
I shall no longer crave for the medals and crown,
When you've burnt me along with my sins and follies.
I'll rise above the hate to love them all,
Who still are busy conspiring my fall.
