I Was Never Yours

As I walk down the pavement

I catch you staring at me from a distance,

and your face showed that your hesitant.

You brushed your fingers with her's

holding it tightly till I realized,

that my life after you left wasn't a paradise.

I put my head down while the tears rolled down my cheeks

trying to smile knowing that my heart bleeds.

I shiver as you walk with her towards "me"

felt my like ground was falling apart when you introduced her as "we".

Hiding all the pain behind my smile

Staring at my black screen phone while,

you come forward to embrace me in your arms.

The warmth in your hands still made me feel the same,

as they did the first time when we became

best friends to lovers.

As you hugged me and looked at my face

Suddenly I just reminisced the most beautiful phase,

Where you and I were "We",

Where you and I were "Us",

Where everything was just "Ours".
