 friends   child   god   help   bicker   understand   injustice 

When I sometimes fail despite trying 

And I can't stop myself from crying-

Yes, I can't fulfill all my dreams,

Success eludes me, so it seems...

I understand. 


When friends fall out and bicker 

When a reunion would be quicker-

When close comrades part ways 

Because disillusioned are their days...

I understand. 


But then ......


When injustice prevails and the world sleeps 

When a little child for no reason weeps 

When tyrants triumph in God's scheme so grand-

And I don't understand ...


Then He will help me understand.
