I Once Met A Gentleman

I once met a gentleman,

We were very good friends,

We met everyday at this coffee shop,

And talked to our heart's content.

He told me he'd come here for business,

All the way from a desert in Spain,

To strike things off his bucket list,

But mainly to watch the rain.

He was quite handsome,

And he was always dressed in black,

He had a charismatic and hilarious personality,

But his accent was a bit hard to track.

We talked for months and months,

And we enjoyed each other's company,

But this one evening,

He did something which wasn't quite funny.

He held an AK-47 in front of my face,

And shot right through me,

While unraveling his secret,

Which made me feel quite empty.

"I am not your stupid friend,

I came here to assassinate you",

Those words keep ringing in my ears,

They hurt me enough to make me go blue.

My emotions went numb,

I was the target of his plan,

Will I ever say this with love again,

I once met a gentleman.
