I, Me And Myself!
I, Me And Myself!
Darkest hour of the night;
I laugh at myself,
The pretensions, the veils are off,
The fears, the manias,
Manifest from the shadows of self.
Always churning, the mind's ocean,
Spewing out poison, bitter and ashen;
The careful facade of mirth and calmness,
Stutters crumbles when I am with me.
When I am only with me!
The perversions, 'the hand- in the cookie jar' looks,
The Hydes shielding uncountable Jekylls
The righteous indignation at allusions to otherwise.
What happened to the Man, the original?
Then some whisper, some sound, the stale breath carries,
"It is the original!"
The best postures are for the world.
Knowing well, the world has always been like this,
I sigh and reach for a mask,
Before the dawn breaks.
