I Love To Write Short Stories

I love to write short stories

Of kingdoms far away

And unicorns and dragons

Who come out at night to play

Putting words on paper

Is created by my dreams

Which allows me to leave my mind

For a moment or two it seems

For if I did not write

I would simply go insane

As all these wonderful stories

Inside they would remain

The ink that's on my page

Is a release for love and pain

For all that I see right and wrong

And an escape from life's old game

As these stories can let you too escape

So please never fear

Neither of the good nor bad

Everything I write of truth you see

Is really a truth only to me

But there's logic in my madness

Please read between the lines

As everything is not as it may seem

Being created by my own mind

And sanity is something boring to read

So I put myself into my word

As nothing else will ever suffice

Because this is my entire world

So I love to write short stories

Of realms far far away
