I Have Seen
I Have Seen
I have seen
Many a Newton,
Many an Einstein also,
Perish by human negligence,
In roadside dhabas and motels,
Sometimes washing utensils and plates,
Sometimes wiping tables and serving sweets
Throwing away their life, the treasury of wisdom.
Flowers that should be adorning God's feet
Are often seen crushed and thrown away
Until every drop of their divine blood
Laughs and mocks at our intent
Of making a beautiful earth
Free of sinful deeds
Full of sympathy
