Life is Long

Life is long

Long like a river

Perhaps longer 

But I have to go

And promise

Never I will be slow.

I will tread the way

Face the hurdles

Cross the sands,

Hills and jungles

And promise

Soon I'll pluck the moon

Though the way

Dampens my energy

Dispirits my soul

Subdues my courage

But promise

Finally, I'll reach the peak.

Long is the river

Long is the way

But we have to go

Pluck the flowers

Taste the fruit

Sweet or bitter

And just say

Life is always beautiful.
