I Am An Empowered Woman....

I am an educated, empowered woman.

I walk with confidence,

I talk with eye contact

And people call me shameless.

I am independent,

I know how to carry myself with grace,

I don't ask for help

And people call me arrogant.

I praise the woman I see in the mirror,

I love her, I care about her,

Every time I stand for her

And people call me selfish.

I am a self-supported woman,

I don't seek approval on what I do,

I raise my voice against injustice

And people call me dangerous.

I share my past without hesitation,

I bang on false customs,

I speak out against the rotten norms

And people call me outspoken.

I wonder -

If it is me or them, 

Who could not understand 

The true meaning of women empowerment.
