Hunger

My eyes have seen the child working,

Their small hands buried under great responsibilities,

With the hope in their eyes..

The hope that contain no desire,

Hope is to satisfy hunger of their family.

I have seen them in temple, Mosque, Gurudwara, Church,

A human unknown of caste..,

He values food regardless of origin,

Division for him is sharing the food with his mates,

How innocent he is..!

Unaware how rest divided God based on state,

Yet explained the meaning of hunger to rest.

I have seen him eating the food with utmost respect,

He taught the value which no book can teach..,

He explained what is true hunger is..!!

Yes, this child has experienced life more than elder,

They have seen compromise not the movie fantasy,

Struggle is their life, but, the smile they hold is real,

They made me feel the warmth..

What true Happiness is..!!
