Romance Tragedy

Her Smile

Her Smile

Prompt theme: A decade of travel immortalized in nostalgic polaroid.

Her Smile

Running from my own story, I stand still, when I found you.

Smiling with the most dazzling smile,

Rendering my existence confused.

I questioned myself,

How do I speak?

When words can't comprehend

The weight of her unsaid sentiments.

Cause for Love, I have always been ignorant.

Lost in the maddening crowd,

Trying to catch the glimpses of her smile.

Unknowing that my disobedient soul

Already planned a candlelit dinner,

Under the umbrella of

Napalm sky.

Between Hellos and Goodbyes,

Voice in my head keenly awaits the awkward silence,

When you and I fell short of words,

Then flagrantly hesitates for defiance.

Flowers of happy tomorrow,

Asked the soil of the heart

To hold the patience within.

A black cloud of a thunderstorm is covertly waiting,

For an immense breakdown to begin.

Today, I saw her face again,

Wearing that same smile on her pallid.

But her breath portrayed a restive silence that seemed impossible to comprehend.

Silence, that wasn't for shallow understanding.

Silence, that swore the guilt of long separation.

Silence, that condenses a cloud of grief.

Silence, that painted love in disbelief.

I said, "if I could be anything in the world,

I would be your tears.

Conceived by your heart,

Born in your burnt eyes,

Live on your pale cheeks,

Then happily demise from your bleeding lips.

Let the paradox confuse our fate

And we plot a perfect escape."

Rebuked by disparaging thoughts,

She couldn't summon the courage.

Her confidant in me was brutally afflicted,

When fate took her away.

I stood by the window,

Gazing at the starry sky.

She flickered smile every night,

Witnessed by my brimmed eyes.

Her vintage memories are decorated with blooming flowers,

Envelop my pain underneath.

Her Smile shall live forever in my heart,

In my world of barren heath.
