Heavy Rains
Heavy Rains
I still search for you
Amidst the heavy rains,
Hoping that perhaps one day,
I find you once again,
Drenched in those heavy droplets,
A little bit cold, perhaps,
Cold enough to shiver you, and,
Amidst your chattering teeth,
Through them,
I hope to find your smile,
Once again, that very one,
Which used to spread,
A known warmth,
All across my heart, brightening,
My entire being.
I still search for you,
Near the muddy puddles,
Filled to the brim with
The recent rains, some of them,
Overflowing with the new droplets,
I wish I could see you there,
Splashing water all around,
Jumping in there, all the while,
Your mesmerizing laughter,
Resonating through the air,
I hope I could once again,
Hear you calling out my name,
Beckoning to me,
To join you in those puddles.
I look out for the dark clouds
In the distance,
I wish I could bring them
Any closer, for, the rains they bear
Are the only remnants perhaps,
I have of you.
