Heart Break
Heart Break
My heart bleeds with grief
As I stare at the hazy horizon
My hand reaches for a kerchief
Involuntarily, the act is done.
I wipe the tears streaming down
unhindered and relentless,
Even as in sorrow I drown,
my searing pain unbearable and endless.
I know I have to pick up the thread
of life again, though my heart is broken
and relegate the wonderful times we had
to sweet memories never to be woken
I gaze at the horizon,
The sky has now turned crimson
The spectacular glory of the sun
maybe heralding a new dawn.
