Guarding the Faith
Guarding the Faith
He was asked to leave for the jungle
Because he made the city uneasy
He left as a nomad without asking a question
Because he did not fear the jungle
Just like never feared the city
He had never complaint of disdain
He had never looked for a praise
He had never commanded submission
He had never asked for forgiveness
He had never shown a frown to a smile
He had never missed a chance to cry
He never stopped them to trespass
He never requested for an access
He never had an urge to gain
He never had anything to loose..
Why should he live in the city
Without the fear to loose?
How could he be devout enough
Without a god to kneel for reprive?
So he left for the jungle
Where the fears had no meaning
Where there were no questions
Where the answers were pervasive
Where the gods had no face
Where the temples had no form
Now he has returned after ages
Back to the city of the fears
Now he is the god carved out of stone
There in the temple with the golden head
Guarded by the alarming guards
Redeeming the fears which he never feared.
