Defined the course of history

I have never seen it though

You were always sitting

With eyes closed and a smile

Like that empty space between the words

But I have heard you many times

In the demanding words of angulimal

And the proud words of ashoka

Maybe you were always there

From your age to my age

Like a bridge between the words
