Grandparents
Grandparents
If happiness had a face, what would it look like?
To me, it would be a wrinkled face with glittery eyes and a toothless smile
With snowy hair and weakened arms
Caged eyes that hold the stories of farm
An old body, but a young heart
Yes, they are our grandparents, with a golden heart
They are a blessing to cherish and a gift to treasure
They are an incarnation of the Almighty
But are thought of as a burden by the hapless society
The eyes that have seen thousands of time zones
Unfortunately, behold the sight of old age homes
They are the shield of the family
And protect us from enmity
They are the bestest blessings anyone could ever ask for
Who bestow their blessings only on a home which is immensely pure?
It's important to cherish their presence
Before they leave for the heavens
They take with them the happiness and prosperity
The source of wisdom and the family's solidarity
They leave the home deserted and lonely
For they are the heart and make the house homely
Our dearly departed
We want to tell you
We love you, we admire you
But most of all, we miss you.
