GoodBye
GoodBye
The Skies show no Mercy
They engulf all
Conspiracies and calamities
And the gears of fate continue to turn
The faint tolling of a distant bell
Signals the end of our era
Yet the influential continue
Their petty strife and struggles
For more power and glory
Kill, burn, rape, desecrate
Over meagre
Bundles of paper
And land
Like the devil's doubles
While the naive
Reaching, grasping for that familiar melody
March ever onward
Plotting out the trails of destiny once again
Their only enemy
Time
Time consumes all
And all that is left are mere impressions
Impressions of civilizations
Who overstayed their welcome
And were chronicled
By the immortal observer
Observing from a distance
Helpless, jaded and frustrated
Cursing his own fate
But still
With unabating vigour
He persists
Like a puppet
Oblivious to his purpose
Or destiny
See you on the other side
