Towards that end Gandhi

Fought for country's Independence 

War without any arms

Nonviolence preached to others

Through silent protest marches

Achieved his life's purpose

Secularism is our motto

This Government has shown

Rushing to society's needs

Irrespective of caste/creed

Declaring lockdown during a pandemic

Making wearing masks mandatory

Served to reduce deaths

Contain the virus spread 

Banning festivities across religions 

Unanimously accepted by people

Served to show others 

We are one Nation

They shipped face masks

Whosoever from us asked 

They sent surplus grains

Nations who faced scarce

Today numbers are the lowest

Proactive has been governance

Dealing with unforeseen situations 

With all available resources

Critics may say otherwise 

Media may highlight lapses

That doesn't take away

Yeoman service to the nation

Politics I don't understand

Nor have any favorites

Merely go by evidence

Supporting the present government
