Gone!
Gone!
Clinching, grabbing, withholding with fear,
Fear to lose, to be gone forever;
But unpredictable time being weapon to shear,
Shear hopes, dreams and emotional sphere.
Pulling back with trembling hands,
Hands that held it once with pride;
To retrieve in a flash, wish to have magical wands,
Wands are in real fortitude that is tied.
Let each drop of tear make a beautiful river,
River to swim across the other side,
Where lands are greener, calmness shadowing shiver,
Shiver this time as a defense against painful chills that bide.
Open fist and let memories too fly,
Fly far away with what is gone;
What happens, happens for good is never a lie,
Lie is to believe it as a catastrophe and mourn.
