Save the girl child but don’t make her meek and mild, what if she wants to experiment and be wild.

Let her spread her wings and take a flight with no boundaries and fright

Even girls want to have fun but how can they, when their desires are shunned.

They also want to dress as per their choice and maybe shout on top of their voice.

But how when society doesn’t even allow them to rise.

When girls work day and night then why can’t they get paid right,

They also want to study hard

and make your mom dad proud

Malala is a great example . She just wanted her education right, but against her society announced a fight.

At a very young age people hand girls dolls and boys balls,

Girls also want to play sports and help theirs father share loads, boys too want to help their mother in households.

Boys are told “ boys don’t cry” but why can’t they shed their tears, don’t they have their own fears.

They have to be physically macho , why? are they all born Rambos? 

Some want to sing some want to dance, but they don’t stand a chance.

There’s this thin line which runs wide and forms the gender divide.

Let’s think why we make girls wear pink and boys blue,

When there are so many colours to choose!!
