Sat down to write a poem,

The eye fell on you.

Enjoying your beauty,

Your ghazal has been written.

From your fluttering eyelids,

The stars of heaven shone.

Even on this night of Amas,

The light went on like Poonam.

Seeing the smile on the face,

The melodious sitar rang.

Taking the limbs of youth,

The heartbeat faster.

Hanging and watching your moves,

The peacock of the mind dance.

Listening to your sweet voice,

The tone of "Murali" become tense.
