Game Of Life
Game Of Life
I often think
My life is nothing
But a difficult match of cricket
Where life is offering me
Off spinners and paces
Where I daily face the run chases
Where it's hard to score runs
Where I have to wait patiently
To score a single run
While my energy gets baked out in the sun
Where I daily defend my wicket
Where A wrong decision
Is a runout
An unplanned decision is a catch out
And creativity and freedom
Is where
I hear the keeper's shouts
Living free
Is like hitting sixes
In the protected zone
Where fielders catch out
My desire for happiness
And I rush to the pavilion
In the opera of sadness
Hitting fours
Only gets difficult every day
Where life is increasing
The placement of fielders
In the boundary every day
Hitting centuries and half centuries
Seems like a long lost
Dream of a few years ago
When I was in my prime
When my shots
Had that perfect time
When my performance wasn't
Disturbed by my ego
When dealing with
Life's off spins
And paces
Was an easy thing to do
When winning life's matches
Was a cup of tea to do.
