 rain   war   fury 

Another full moon

Hope in hearts bloomed

A new chapter in life 

Would erase pervading gloom


Alas! Was short lived

Clouds marched across

Like a tarpaulin cover

Hid the moon's face


Rains in rage opened

Its sprinklers

Drowning hope again.

Moon shone through

The misty veil that fell

After all...wars are 

Fought with equals.


Clouds felt defeated

And in retaliation 

Created a din

Thundering with fury


Striking with electrifying 

Lightening to put fear

Into the minds of men

Shake their confidence 

Moon smiled through

All the drama enacted
