From Selfless To Self Love

......But I was the one who cared for We 

But we were "them" never me

I cared, I compromised, I wasn't relaxed

For simple mistakes, I was taxed!

I remained the caterpillar, never the butterfly

I was the caged bird who couldn't fly

But the cage wasn't real, it was my thought

Slowly I realized that I am unique, gifted 

Because of me people feel uplifted!

Now the bird's out of the so-called cage

The world is offering opportunities at each stage

I am treating myself to good experiences

Instead of wallowing in grievances

My emotions are under my control

People can't manipulate and make me angry

Nor I am too saccharine sweet and sugary

I don't believe in excess, balance is what I believe in

But faltering a bit isn't a cardinal sin

I believe in self-love, accepting myself fully

I care about " We " but most important is " Me"!
