Hiding in corner

Unseen, by everyone around

I prefer to be silent

Like the moon, on a moonless night

Uneasy

When I get attention

She’s like the Sun

Adored by everyone

Everyone’s friend

She’s the center of crowd

She can speak into the void

Can break an awkward silence

Apple of the teacher’s eye

But I’m not jealous

I admire her

Her leadership

Her way of making people feel free

And her humility

She can talk to me
