First Rains

First Rains

1 min
148

After the scorching heat of summer

Everyone was waiting for the rain

After being roasted alive

Of course we needed relief from the pain.

Then long ass wait ended one day

And the had day finally arrived

The sky was cast with grey clouds

Little raindrops had started to fall

And the wind blew so gently

That it almost touched my soul!

Soon the little raindrops turned heavy

The drizzle became a downpour

It seemed like the sky was letting go of everything

Which it ever did went through.

I stopped doing everything

And ran straight to the terrace

I let the raindrops fall on myself

I let the raindrops caress!

I got drenched in the natural shower

Physically mentally and emotionally

The rain washed out all the pains of the hour

And just drained out all the worries!

The smell of the earth soothed me

Made me feel alive again

It settled a sense of calmness in me

By making be insane!

And so I was out there

Singing and dancing like mad

In the most awaited first rains

Oh I like this season so bad!!!
