Finding Eyes
Finding Eyes
With such avidity, I start the days,
Knowing I’ll come across a cherished one.
Without knowing what the day displays,
I strive with the will and influence of none.
With all the affection, ardor, and delight,
My eyes would thirst for the sight of the one.
With immense fondness, I gaze at the sight,
Only to realize I was in view of the one.
I looked in those eyes as the time passed by,
Though felt everything yet numb.
Words will not do justice to my fancy,
The moment of infinity is to come.
I wish she looked at herself through my eyes,
Find something to do and relate.
Her heart doesn’t grasp enough to contemplate,
So, in this unjust world, all I can do is wait.
