Last year's joy, a cherished memory,

With family, a sweet symphony.

For a father's absence, we deeply rue.

Amidst the celebration's cheer,

Some hold back a silent tear.

For in this world of festal glee,

A few mourn lost company.

Let's remember those in sorrow's sway,

As Diwali sparkles in its array.
