Fear

Fear

Fear is of two types,

One is a natural or rational fear,

which comes out of endangering situations borne out of natural causes,

And the other is unnatural or unreal fear,

Which has no reality or rationality.

Anxiety and worry is the outcome of fear.

There is tension in the mind,

Till the cause of it is resolved.

Normal fear is good,

Like students fear punishment in class,

if they do not do their homework!

This type of fear paves the way

To one's progress and betterment.

Psychologists suggest that there cannot be absolute fearlessness.

 In enjoyment, there is the fear of disease;

In social position, there is fear of falling off;

 In wealth, there is the fear of being cheated;

In honour, there is the fear of humiliation;

In power, there is the fear of losing;

In beauty, there is the fear of old age;

In scriptural erudition, there is the fear of opponents;

 In virtue, there is the fear of traducers;

 In body, there is the fear of death;

Everything in this world,

pertaining to men

 is attended with fear;

renunciation alone leads to

fearlessness!
