Facade

I laugh a lot.

Sometimes, I laugh when it's funny

And when it's not.

I'm known as the happy one,

The different one,the bibliophile

The girl always wearing a smile.

Only if they could ever know 

That laughter conceals countless tears from night before

And smile hides the unexpressed sorrow

I got my "I own this place" walk

But truth to be told 

All I own are insecurities, scars hidden beneath my cloak

I promised I would never show the pain, I would never say 

And it saddens me realizing how good i have become at pretending to be okay.
