The Obviated Self
The Obviated Self

Rising sun,the curtain raiser
With an expecting audience out
And the growing day, sets the stage
And I perform like the trained circus clown
The thinker in me locked in an inner cage.
Oh but they clap for me
And yes,they cheer my name
And here I perform with the perfectly curved smile
Play my part in this confusing little game.
And as the day passes by,
with dusk and darkness
The cage breaks free
And The silenced thinker
It Barges out defiantly.
With questions about the play
The cryptic lessons of the day
Reminder of all the lies
And all of the self wangled display.
And here I lie with no answers
Preparing myself for an "exciting" tomorrow
Again,to go out there,
Present myself to an expecting audience
Whilst the thinker me goes incognito.
