Evening Ride
Evening Ride
Trees lined up in the avenue street
As I passed by me they did greet
By throwing a whiff of fresh air
In the polluted city there is no compare.
As I cycled ahead came across a signage
Glory be to God
As a non-believer left me a little awkward
A surprising bit of patchwork on the road
Smooth passage on the cycle, happily I rode.
Rain and Sun playing a monsoonal game
It was the time of the Sun, no need for any blame.
Workout done, calories burned, endorphins flowed
Along came the words, poem completed, in my mind I glowed.
