Erasing The Memories

I’m erasing you from my mind now. 

I know it’ll be hard but I have to try. 

The color of your eyes is fading. 

So is the memory of you and me. 

Every kiss. 

Every promise you made. 

Every sweet word from your lips. 

I’m wiping it all away now. 

It’s all fading to black. 

I can’t remember if your hair is blonde or brown. 

Or if you said you were coming back. 

It doesn’t matter if you do. 

My heart has closed its doors. 

I didn’t deserve to be treated this way. 

I thought I was your girl. 

I’m better off not knowing. 

I’m better off just a fleeting thought in your life. 

Once you decided to shut me out,
