I was always the lesser love to you. 

The one that was only good enough when no one was around. 

Put you first when I should’ve done that for myself. 

Dried your tears when they hurt your heart. 

Always listened to your worries at three am. 

Hung on your every word even though you were messing with my head. 

I grew tired of being that lesser love. 

I deserved better and you weren’t good enough.
