Ephemeral

Nothing lasts forever in this uncertain universe.

Everything is temporary and vague at this point.

Life is mysterious, and it permeates with fantasies.

Cherry blossoms bloom yearly to disappear fast.

Love is immortal, and it does not fade in people's eyes.

I firmly believe it is a delusional and fallacious term.

Apparently, it is attractive & sunny like rosebuds.

Soulful love is timeless but not fleeting love.

Money is here now, holding my bosom.

It will slither away the next morning.

I cannot grasp it in my clenched fists.

Do not cheer when you have it or sigh for its loss.

Success does not last longer than a second.

But the work may stay for an extra minute.

Success seems right in the headlines & media,

For life flits away without anyone's consent.

Time slips away like the sand in an hourglass.

We cannot control it, not today or any day.

It will move at its own pace without a pause.

The good or bad side is simply a transient phase.

How can one gather or store success, money, time or love?

For these are all Ephemeral, here.

The feelings are transient and shift their energy.

Today happy, tomorrow anguish but next day raw.

Momentary feelings are so short that I doubt them.

It leaves traces so real of its existence at times.

Alas! Feelings are precious, but they are not trustworthy.

Fashion is forever changing. 

A style is elegant now and most sought after,

That design gets outdated tomorrow without a noise.

Designs and Fabrics are ever-evolving in the fashion world.

Films are temporary, not etched in our tiny minds.

Fame is an illusion that spins a web fast, like a spider.

Never involve your reel life visions with real-life conflicts.

They are fantasies that fly away through open windows.

Flowers are seasonal, bloom in winter or spring.

Dahlia, Calendulas, Petunia, Night Jasmine or Day Lily:

Blossoms instantly and spread joy with their lively colours.

Their retreat is early & their absence sets us in the dark. 

Feelings & Flowers are ephemeral in our society.

Fashion and Films are also shifting their gear.

Beauty is held in the viewer's glistening eyes.

It may be the face for some, the soul for others.

The music, nature's art, family portraits or drama,

Its charm is also changing its way, eager to pass by.

Life's tragedy is not to be dreaded by anyone.

Do not fall victim to its vicious trap that waves at us.

Nothing is permanent in life, it's a fleeting moment.

Wait for a minute and see it blow away in the wind.

I detest resolutions, it is quite unreal for me.

They do not linger strongly with us.

Not being resolute, we skip it with ease.

I dislike people using resolutions like a drink.

Sandcastles, environmental art dwindles away.

We can only create a memory of them near shores.

They are not expected to last forever,

But can be captured through our camera lenses. 

Beauty or tragedy do not continue till eternity.

Sandcastles and resolutions are ephemeral like a haze.

Memories, relationships and friends hold tiny significances,

However pleasant or heart-breaking they might seem to us!

They will also travel further away like dark & shining clouds. 

Do not get attached to them, as they will eventually disappear.

We hopelessly cling to transitory articles and trivial judgments.

These are flowing and fleeting instants but useless at times.

We have securely saved them, but some flashes will get erased.

As Ephemeral guests, we stand here, our destinations being abstract!
