Dusk or Dawn
Dusk or Dawn
They say it was bright, So bright
It made hard for me to see the light
It arouses all the yearning
I had collected bits and pieces
But within me now they were burning
So I crawled into the darkness
To protect it all.
What a fool I had been !!!
This was my greatest fall
All that I collected wasn't broken of me
But watching me fail, their glee.
And neither it was the dusk nor the dawn
The burning was all my own.
It was the best of me, always.
I never failed them,
All along I was trying to win me.
IN the darkness I could SEE
The light was the place for me to be
Not burning all their glee...
But building me block by blocks
Not on those old saving stocks
Oh! It's just me for myself
Not the folks.....
Now, I go hippity-hopping around
For I have no bits and pieces found
There was nothing ever they left or stole
I savvied what to leave and what to let go
For me to be a whole.
