Dumbledore Behind The Door

When we say the name Dumbledore,

The image formed is of a wise old man who was never wrong.

But don't forget, even he had a history which was very sore

With a very bright mind,

and Deathly Hallows which was left to find,

His eyes gradually turned blind.

His hunger for power,

Was also why his history was sour.

his best mate as Grindelwald,

Who he trusted blindly even though he was a fraud,

He now thought he was invincible.

His devious mind had this dark past was just unthinkable.

Now with Harry Potter born,

and Severus Snape as his pawn,

He had a duty to protect him,

To make Harry not suffer for his sins.

When Snape had only wished to protect his lover,

Did he know Dumbledore would be such a bummer!

Severus ready to give anything,

had he not saved him from Marvolo's ring!

So even the best heroes have a dark past,

Which is bound to leave us all aghast!
