Drowning
Drowning
Forever have I dwelled, perpetually inverted,
Lost in the lagoon of thoughts entwined with you,
Seeking passage through a murky abyss,
Why, my love, did you burden it so?
In these depths, I now swim,
Glimpsing stars' reflections, shimmering brightly,
An ethereal dance of memories, glimmering,
Trapped within the watery realm of remembrance.
With the dawn's embrace, you retreat,
Vanishing into the fading night,
Why, my love, did you make it so heavy?
This weight, this ache in my chest,
No pen to script this test of mine.
So, I shall immerse myself, night after night,
In the lake of lights, their radiant glow,
Until my being grows leaden and dense,
Then, once more, shall our paths converge,
You, my ephemeral muse, turned eternal.
Oh, I grow weary of this eternal heaviness,
This burden clings to my soul.
