Flavours of Hunger

Once again after days

I can feel the pangs of hunger…

Walking down the street

Crowded and clouded

With flavors of the evening

Bustling on either side

Greedily they gobble down

Sizzling hot fried snacks

Within two or three bites…

With eyes blurred with thirst

And my tongue stuck to gums

The flavors of hunger

Follow my staggering steps..

Moments of hunger now and then

Make me realize strongly

What money means

To a hungry stray dog

That patiently waits for

Someone to share their bite.
