74th Indian Republic Day

The tricolour flies high, so proud and bold,

A symbol of our freedom, a story untold.

On this day, we come together as one,

To celebrate our nation, from sunrise to set of the sun.

The Republic is born, a democracy we stand,

With a constitution that lends a helping hand.

Justice, liberty, and equality, our ethos,

And to this, we stand firm, with love and respect for all of us.

We honour our leaders, who fought for our rights,

Gandhi, Patel, and Nehru, shining stars in our night skylights.

Their bravery and sacrifice, a beacon of hope,

You inspire us to strive, to make this land a better scope.

So let us raise a toast, to this great land,

With hearts filled with joy, and hands held in hand.

To the Republic of India, forever young and free,

Happy Republic Day here’s to you and to me!
