Dream With Eyes Open

Floating in a magical world

She saw her desires unfurled

Elation and shame

Emotions she struggled to tame

She had fame

She also took the blame

She giggled

She sniveled


Exhausted she landed

From a world not real

Wisely not stranded

Come morning she made a deal


To pursue dreams

With her eyes open

To be the crème de la crème

And make things happen
