Don't be the boss be the leader

Don't be the boss be the leader

Too often when a situation appears beyond repair,

It becomes an irritant that some can't bear,

They then deem those in charge unworthy to lead,

For it seems that person doesn't possess what it takes to succeed.

They feel had they taken charge things would resolve,

And thus act as if with their competence every problem they'd solve,

But one can not lead if one can not follow,

For their perspective going in can only be seen as hollow.

There are those who manage and those who light the way,

Out of those two-there is but 1 who will not fray

,

For they have that which the other lacks,

True power does not belong to the one that attacks.

There is a difference between a leader and a boss,

A boss will demand despite the cost,

On the other hand, there are those who by example lead,

And you'll find that in the end, it's them who succeed.

You can gain a lot just by considering each point of view,

Thus avoid any misunderstandings through n through,

At the end of the day, there is one fact we must understand,

You mustn't be the boss, be the leader if you wish to command.
