Do I Ask More?

Do I Ask More?

Being a girl I was always asked to be tolerant but I asked for an explanation.

So did I ask more?

Being a girl I was always advised never to argue with the 'Man of the House'

Even though if I'm right!

I wanted to know why however was always denied an answer.

So did I ask more?

Since childhood, I was told never to do anything to lower the pride of the family.

I asked why is the pride's burden only on a girl? But it too went unanswered.

Did I ask m

ore?

Since the time I started comprehending situations around me I was expected to sacrifice my needs as I was a girl and should be kind enough to do that.

I asked whether only a girl has to sacrifice and not the boys.

I never got a satisfying answer.

Did I ask more?

Everyone wants girls to change themselves but do not accept us the way we would like to be.

When so much is expected out of a girl or women in her entire lifetime whereas she only wants acceptance, I'd just ask everyone around here,

Do I ask more?
