Discomfort

Discomfort

Walking home with my bag on,

Trying to keep myself strong,

Feeling your eyes as they undress me,

Wondering why you think it's okay to test me.

Didn't you ever learn,

Your actions should never be cause for concern ,

The people who raised you, they really failed you.

Making me seem just like a detailed view,

Voices in your head get louder.

All you can think of is using the power, you think you possess,

My body is mine, not yours to oppress.

But nevertheless, you keep at it,

Because these urges you just can't repress,

This isn't progress, this here is we to really address,

I must confess, sometimes I just want to scream out in distress,

To the people who feel like I've felt before,

The discomfort that makes you sick to your core.
