Debt

I was waiting... waiting to live freely

until I was cleared of all the debt on me -

the debt that was, the debt that is,

And also the debt that seems will always be...

The first of them was a debt of the past

The debt of what it took to make me, me

Is it even possible to pay it back?

Will I ever become debt-free?

I then worried about debt in the future

The debt that I owe to the ones from me

Is there an end to what I can give?

Can I ever live guiltlessly?

In this, I forgot the debt of the present

The debt that I owe to no one but me

I know this debt is often overlooked

If I don't pay myself, who would even ask me?

But what if to repay the past and future,

All I needed to do was to pay for the present.

The best version of me would be an ode to the past

And, to build the future it would enable me

The debt of the present I decided to pay

With that, I saw all the past debts flee

And I became richer to give to the future 

Thus I paid all my debts by just being the best of me
